Kelly Clarkson concert at Nokia Theatre in LA!  Her concerts are always so great.  She had some friends stop by too.  Michelle Branch, Blake Shelton and Reba!  Great show!

Now...gotta go home to pack for Europe tomorrow!  16 Days in a row of work and now it's the pay off.  :)

Beautiful Saturday!  Too bad I was on my way to work.  :(  The exciting news is that my team won 'Global Event Management Team of the Year'! So awesome.  Everyone on my team works their butts off so this is very cool.

Longest day EVER!  Worked all day, helped my boss direct guests to an event at night and then got to spend some quality time with 2 of my favorite girls in downtown LA at the French bistro, Perch.  Super late night but totally worth it.

After work today, we went to dinner at Chi Dynasty in LA and then went to Comedy Sportz to celebrate Stacie's birthday. Chi Dynasty was so delicious. They have my favorite green beans. Comedy Sportz is a small improv show where two teams of actors compete against each other in improv games and the audience gets to pick which team is the best. I love this show. They are so great. And for $19/ticket, it's a great deal! FYI, they knew it was Stacie's birthday and they made her go up on stage. That is her on the left posing like a penguin!!!

Such a fun night with friends!

It was a cold and rainy day in LA!

Pictures 1 and 2 capture a little bit of the moody sky. Cool clouds. Picture 3 is King Eddy's Saloon which opens every day at like 6am. It is not in a great area yet I've heard a lot of celebrities (mainly guys) go there. Not sure what it looks like on the inside but maybe it's nice?? Picture 4 is a super treat that Stacie made. Mini Cappuccino cup cakes. I'm not usually a sweets person but this was AMAZING. And of course, so cute like always.

Burrrr..... Turning on the heater now.

Yep. Another day at work! This is my drive in to work every morning. I know these buildings are old and falling apart but I really love the old style. I just hope they restore them soon. They could be such cool apartments! There's my work at the end of the street. Home sweet home. :)

Happy Sunday!!

Being that it's the weekend and I really should NOT have had to work.... I rebelled and wore my converse for as long as I could. It lasted until lunch time when I had to walk through the lobby to clock out.

Today I had Sunday Funday with two of my girls. It was nice just hanging out. We made lists of things we want to do in LA that we have never done before (museums, tours, restarants, etc). And we maybeeee started planning a trip. And we all know I LOVE to travel! Where to go, where to go...

Stay tuned. :)

My new book that I purchased at the Los Angeles Times Travel Show that I went to last weekend. Can not wait to read this. I really need to finish the book I'm currently reading so I can dive in!

After listening to Lisa Ling speak at this event, I watched her documentary on China's Lost Girls. It's a great documentary on the One-Child Policy in China. This policy allows each family to only have one child. They created the policy in 1978 to control the population. Families would prefer male children. Girls get married and leave the families and boys stay with the family to help out and care for the parents and grandparents. Mothers then feel social pressure to have a male child and may abort or abandon their baby girls. The documentary also follows American families who are adopting some of these abandoned baby girls. It's a great piece. Check it out!

The other part of my picture of the day is a news paper from the travel show and it has a title that I absolutely love. "Find your true north". It makes me happy!

Happy first day of February!

This is a skylight in Union Station in Los Angeles. This place is really cool. I'm sure I'll be exploring it a little more once I start taking the train to work in March.

Happy FRIDAY!!!!

Took the Metro and Metrolink (train) home from work today. This was on the walk from work to the Metro. Downtown LA looks pretty "instagram'd"!

Even the dirty LA streets look cool using instagram. Yep. Took a picture of the ground. And I like it. Not that I want to hang it up in my house or anything but I like the contrasts and the pop of color.

Happy Monday. :)

A note I left for a co-worker on my computer last night so he wouldn't mess with it. He was trying to prank my team. Good luck with that Corinne!
